Saturday 8:00am - 12:00pm
After hours consultations may be available by appointment.

What to wear?

For our experienced physiotherapists to thoroughly assess, diagnose and treat your condition you should wear comfortable clothing that will adequately expose the region to be treated. For example if you have injured a knee or thigh either wear or bring shorts. Should you happen to forget or it is too inconvenient we do have some on hand. For a neck, shoulder and back please be aware that you will probably be required to remove your shirt. With our private consultation rooms clients can feel comfortable that their dignity is respected.

Do I need a referral?

No referral is required for most physiotherapy assessment, treatment and management. A referral from your GP is required for Veterans' Affairs clients and WorkCover or Third Party claims. Should you be unsure whether you require a referral please consult one of our friendly admin team.

What to expect?

One of our friendly admin team will greet you at reception and ask you to fill in some personal details for our records. (Please see our privacy policy for how we manage your personal details). Once the physiotherapist is ready you will be escorted through to one of our private consultation rooms. The physiotherapist will introduce themselves and ask you for information about your presenting condition. Once the physiotherapist has the background information they will then undertake the physical examination of your condition. This will vary depending on the region of your condition but will likely involve certain movements and special tests in order to provide an accurate diagnosis. The physiotherapist will then proceed to treatment of your condition. At Physiocare we pride ourselves on individual, hands on care. We won't be popping in and out every five minutes. We won't be leaving you on electrical machines. You may be given some exercises and/or stretches for you to continue between consultations. These are to ensure you get optimal results from your physiotherapy care. We may instruct you to perform some exercises in our well equipped on-site gym to compliment the hands on care.

Consultation time

At Physiocare we understand your time is important and endeavour to run on time with all consultations. Initial and follow-up consultations are booked for 30 minutes. That is your dedicated time with your physiotherapist. Your appointment may well go beyond that dedicated 30 minutes with you performing some exercises etc either in the treatment room or in our well equipped on-site gym. If you have pressing time commitments please inform our friendly admin staff on arrival and your physiotherapist.

Fee Information

Please call our friendly administration team to make an appointment or to discuss our fees. A doctor's referral is only required from our Veterans' Affairs, workers' compensation and third party clients.

Payment Methods Accepted

Visa, Mastercard, EFTPOS, cash and personal cheque. Payments must be made directly to Physiocare at the time of consultation. If required, an official receipt can be issued at time of payment.


HICAPS allows direct billing at point of sale to Participating Health Funds for physiotherapy services. There are also Participating Health Funds for remedial massage.

Veteran’s Affairs

Our physiotherapists are approved DVA health care providers. All that is required to access this service, is a referral from your GP (D904) and your DVA Card.

Cancellation Policy

If you are unable to keep a scheduled appointment PLEASE ADVISE US 8 HOURS IN ADVANCE BY TELEPHONE or you may be charged a 100% cancellation fee. This amount can not be claimed through private insurance, workcover or any third party payer. The Australian Physiotherapy Association advises a 24 hour notice cancellation policy, however, we feel 8 hours notice is sufficient to allow us to fill the appointment through our waiting list.

Compensable/Third Party Payers

We do directly bill third party insurers and workers compensation parties if all the required paper work has been provided at time of treatment. No gap fee is currently charged by Physiocare for Workcover clients.
